Do you have experience with accounting, month-end submissions, and processes? And would you enjoy working with an experienced team? Then you might be McBrides new Chief Accountant for Denmark.
McBride is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of washing and cleaning products. We have 14 factories located in Europe and Asia. As our new Chief Accountant in Denmark, you will be an important person in ensuring that we meet the Danish accounting standards.
You will be part of the McBride Group Function and the Group Financial Accounting Team. Here you will get friendly and skilled colleagues who are located around Europe. You will be part of a team of 7 chief accountants in Europe and you will be based in Holstebro in Denmark, where you will work closely with one other colleague, who will directly report into you.
You will be responsible for the monthly and yearly trial balance
In this position you will have the overall responsibility for the monthly and yearly trial balance and financial statements for Denmark under their remit, ensuring compliance to both local and Group accounting and financial reporting standards.
Further responsibilities include:

Month-end submissions of the entity’s P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, accurately and timely. This includes submission of intercompany balances, and other relevant movements, including within reserves, fixed assets, and right-of-use assets. At half year and year end, there may be additional reporting which is required.

Month-end processes - management and reconciliation of any fixed assets and right-of-use assets, posting and management of any relevant accruals and provisions.

Prepare, declare, and submit all necessary Indirect Tax requirements, including Intrastat and VAT returns.

Preparation of the tax pack and submission to the Group Direct Tax Manager, preparation of all local tax submissions and managing any local tax audits.

Preparation and submission the external statutory accounts

Preparation and review of the complete set of balance sheet accounts for the entity.

Responding to all internal and external group level audit actions. Primary contact for the external audit of local accounts.

Managing of one part time direct report.
You know the Danish accounting standards
To succeed in this position, you will probably hold a relevant master’s degree and have at least 2 years of professional experience in a financial accounting role.
You know the Danish accounting standards and keep up to date with changes and development in these.
Your communication skills written and verbally in English and Danish are excellent. Microsoft Office is your preferred tool and especially Excel and preferably you have already gained experience in SAP.

We offer a part time position of 30 hours a week. During peak seasons you can work flexible hours.
